Ethan’s start in production and cinematography was inspired by his love of people and their unique stories.  After 16 years of working in this industry, he continues to be humbled by the opportunity to practice his craft with such a diverse and talented community.

Beginning in 2001, after graduating from Syracuse University, Ethan started working in NYC as a production assistant to learn the art of filmmaking. Quickly, he gravitated towards the camera department where he found his passion in cinematography.

Over the past 16 years, Ethan has worked on crews as small as three people and as large as 100. He has worked on major network series, independent documentaries, web content, commercials, industrials, live music and comedy, scripted, reality, and many things in between. His work has been honored by two Daytime Emmy awards and four nominations for his cinematography on The Mind Of A Chef. He has produced and shot both documentary and scripted films that have premiered at several film festivals including the acclaimed Sundance Film Festival.

Ethan has been based in NYC for the duration of his career, but has enjoyed traveling the globe for work and feels grateful to have developed his skills and lens through such varied visual experiences.

Ethan lives in Brooklyn, his residence for the past 16 years, with his partner and their two daughters.
